A painter, graphic artist and set designer, Philip Craig was born in Ottawa, Ontario which has been his home for most of his life, and is where he has been living since 1986.

His mediums are oils and acrylics. His subjects include portraits, still life, flowers, landscapes, farms, interiors, nudes, gardens, architecture and scenes from his travels to England, France, Italy, Morocco and India. His styles are Realism* and Impressionism*. AskART has some good illustrations of his work.

Craig's formal art education includes graduation from Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario in 1971. Shortly after graduation he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a television graphics and set designer. A few years later he was transferred to St. John's, Newfoundland where he worked for about 10 years at the CBC as an art director. In 1986, he turned to painting full-time and returned to Ottawa.
